Zain currently serves on the Pittsfield Township Park Commission. She lives in Pittsfield township with her husband and three children. Zain earned her Bachelors of Science in Architecture and Masters Architecture from the University of Michigan. She has been teaching at Taubman College of Architecture of Urban Planning at the University of Michigan.
